Chairman Dandy Yeh of Gigabyte Technology Inc. officially opened the new Gigabyte premises in Eindhoven during a special ribbon cutting ceremony together with Mayor Rob van Gijzel of the city of Eindhoven. Gigabyte established its first presence in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 2001 with assistance of BOM Foreign Investments, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and Brainport Development.

As a current investor BOM remained in close contact with Gigabyte, both in Eindhoven and at Corporate Headquarters in Taipei, offering assistance wherever needed. In 2005 this resulted in the expansion of their facility at Verdunplein in Eindhoven. Early 2010 Gigabyte indicated to look for a new building that would meet their needs for the future.

For more than a year they have looked at properties in the Eindhoven region that would offer them room to grow the European Headquarters, as well as a more effective use of space for their warehousing and RMA activities. Together with it's partners, BOM assisted them in this search that resulted in the purchase of the building at Steenoven 24 in Eindhoven. The new location offers Gigabyte 950 m2 of office, warehouse and workshop space for their products, like motherboards, notebooks, graphics cards, power supplies and other computer peripherals.

Mr. Eelko Brinkhoff of BOM Foreign Investments also had the honour to give a short speech on the history of Gigabyte in Eindhoven and the warm and strong relationship with Gigabyte in the Netherlands and Taiwan. BOM hopes this new phase will be an example for other Taiwanese companies and offers a base for Gigabyte to continue to grow and be profitable in the European market. Mr. Yeh expressed his gratitude to BOM's continuous efforts to pave the way for further growth of Gigabyte in Europe, the Netherlands, Brabant and Eindhoven.
