WASHINGTON – The Netherlands is one of the leading nations when it comes to international import and export. This became clear from numbers published by the World Trade Organization last Thursday.
A survey of the world’s largest importers and exporters of 2011 shows that the Netherlands was the fourth largest exporting country, worth 660 billion dollars, preceded by China (1899 billion dollars), the USA (1481 billion dollars), Germany (1474 billion dollars) and Japan at (823 billion dollars).
The Netherlands was the seventh largest importing country (597 billion dollars). This list was headed by the USA (2265 billion dollars), followed by China, Germany, Japan, France and the United Kingdom.
