Unemployment among 25 to 30 year olds has dropped considerably since 2014. Last quarter therewere only 5% of young men at home.
That group has long been difficult in the labour market. Including the financial crisesthere was even 7.7% of pre-30s with no work. Before the economic downturn, the unemployment rate in this group was extremely low, at 2.6%, according to figures published by Statistics Netherlands.
The troubles with 25- to 30-year olds today are that they often have to start their career only when few employers haveopened new job positions.

Flexibility
Relatively speaking, young people have more work than a few years back, but more often they get a flexible contract and they have to be satisfied with it. These are fixed-term contracts where the number of hours may vary.
Between 2008 and 2012 not even a quarter of 25- to 30-year-olds had a flexible contract. In 2016 that proportion has risen to 31%.

Together Abroad provided expert advice on personal branding including developing a top-notch, market-aware CV, highly tailored job applications, and approach strategies with potential employers in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I found them be highly knowledgeable in key related fields such as recruitment strategy, immigration law, contracts, labor agreements, and (un)employment benefits. I would recommend Together Abroad to anyone who needs professional help with transitioning to a new career.

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
