The Hague may call itself the Best City Centre in the Netherlands in the ‘large city centre‘ category for 2013 to 2015. It was a close race but in the end The Hague was chosen over Amsterdam.

The jury commended The Hague on its long-term outlook and public private partnership, which has led to many new developments over the last years even in economically difficult times. According to the jury report, ‘The city is now among the national top and has developed into a ‘must see‘ destination. The Hague offers visitors a mix between an historic, intimate atmosphere and a modern, urban scale size.‘

The jury awarded the title of Best City Centre 2013-2015 in the ‘medium city centre‘ category to Venlo.

The jury evaluated the nominees on the basis of developments including:
- future proof
- business climate
- availability of facilities
- strategy to reduce vacancies
- organisational capacity

A large city centre has more than 325 shops while a medium city centre has 200 to 325 shops. The winners of the previous edition were Eindhoven (large) and Hoogeveen (medium).

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
