
The 250 companies have signed a charter named “Talent naar de Top” to demonstrate their commitment to increase the number of women on their management boards. The government set a target of 30%. The signatories of the charter claim that 44% of their executive boards and 21% of their non-executive directors meet this target better than other companies.
According to the baltictimes.com, The Netherlands is alongside Luxembourg, Cyprus and Croatia has the lowest proportion of top jobs held by women in the EU-countries. In contrast, Latvia, Hungary as well as Lithuania show the highest proportions.
