LEADING JAPANESE HELMET MANUFACTURER OGK KABUTO ENTERS EUROPEAN MARKET

OGK KABUTO, the leading Japanese helmet manufacturer, and Mr Pam de Vries, former Ducati Motor Holding Director, have established a joint venture to bring KABUTO motorcycle products into the European market. KABUTO is the number one helmet Brand in Japan.

OGK KABUTO, located in Osaka, Japan, has a long-term objective to grow into a global player in the helmet industry, with the ambition to establish as an international market leader. As the European market is of great importance the company has joined forces with automotive professional, Mr Pam de Vries.

OGK KABUTO has 31-years of experience in developing and producing world-class helmets for bicycles and powered two-wheelers. Originally KABUTO is a helmet used with traditional Japanese armour, as worn by the well-known and respected elite class of the Samurai in Japan. Until this day KABUTO still stands for strength, skills and quality.

After a period of intensive market research and investigating possibilities for an efficient European distribution network, Mr Hidehito Kimura, founder and owner of OGK KABUTO and Mr Pam de Vries established a joint venture, KABUTO Europe BV, to introduce and market KABUTO Helmets in Europe. Kabuto Europe BV has chosen to set up its first European Office in The Hague because of its central location, excellent logistics network and vicinity of two International Airports.

“Working together with the NFIA/WFIA was very helpful. They helped us with collecting market information and with deciding for the Hague as European location. We also benefitted from their extended network for making contact with potential partners.“, says Pam de Vries of Kabuto Europe BV.
