First calculation
The first calculation was made forty five days after the end of the first economic quarter, using what information was available. This was, however, a continual process, and as new information into the Dutch economy was made available, the calculations were made more precise. The sum adjustment of the second calculation compared to the first over the last five years came to an average of 0.1%. Standard deviation of these calculations shows that at the most extreme it could be -0.3 to +0.4%.
Previous quarters not included
With every new calculation CBS makes, they also adjust each seasonal adjustment made from the previously published quarters. However, the growth figures from the last three quarters have not changed when compared to the previously published statistics.
The growth compared to 2014
Compared to the previous year, the Dutch economy had grown in the second quarter by 1.8%. The first calculation showed this to be at 1.6%.
Number of jobs grows by 29 thousand
According to the second calculation, the number of jobs of employees and the self-employed has risen by 29 thousand compared to the first 2015 quarter. The first calculation predicted a growth by 19thousand jobs. The growth rate of jobs has been added and adjusted on the basis of new information.
When comparing the second quarter of 2015 to that of 2014, there were also 93 thousand more jobs for employees and the self-employed this year than that of the last. From the first calculation, this number was closer to 80 thousand.
