Dutchmen prefer better job profile above higher salary

When choosing a job, Dutch employees tend to think that an interesting task is more important than a higher salary with a less content prospect.

Linkedin released these findings in their global Talent Trends 2015 report on Wednesday 03 June 2015. It surveyed more than 20,000 professionals in 29 countries, of which 678 were Dutch.

Challenging tasks, professional development, future prospects and growth opportunities are particularly relevant to the Dutch participants. Employees appear to be less enthusiastic about better job titles. Additionally, the report highlights that the Dutch place remarkably little importance to better pay and benefits (16%), which is at odds with their image of being “frugal”. By contrast, the global average is at 49%.

Four in five Dutch workers are satisfied with their current job, which makes them the most satisfied employees in the world. Nevertheless, Talent Trends 2015 reveals that 81% would not say no to an attractive job opportunity.

Furthermore, I found them be highly knowledgeable in key related fields such as recruitment strategy, immigration law, contracts, labor agreements, and (un)employment benefits. Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
