Volunteering and WW (Unemployment Benefit)

If you want to volunteer while maintaining WW (Unemployment benefit), you must meet the conditions from UWV (Uitvoeringsorgaan Werknemers Verzekeringen aka in English: Public Employment Service).
On uwv.nl, you can quickly see how likely it is that your volunteering meets certain conditions, and also how to apply for permission to volunteering.
By answering a few questions in the section “Stappenplan” (steps plan) you can find out whether volunteering may satisfy the conditions, so that you can retain your unemployment benefit.
On the UWV website there are two videos with information about the rules regarding volunteering: "How UWV decides on volunteering?" and "I already did volunteer work before I got WW."
An extra tool is an instructional video with clear explanation: "How do I fill out the consent form for volunteering with maintaining my unemployment benefit?"
