
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) revealed that throughout the entire year, the turnover climbed by 5.6%. The last time it achieved such a sales increase was in 2007 at 5.5%. CBS claims that all branches delivered positive summary of the sales, particularly restaurants by 6.6% and snack bars by 6.4%.
Furthermore, the increase in turnover in the hospitality industry has brought about an upturn in the job market. Also, 64,000 new job vacancies were created in the whole sector in 2014. This marks the highest number of new jobs created since 2008, which indicates an employment boost in the industry.
