CBS: Strong export growth

The volume of exports of goods in July was 5.4% higher than in July 2014. CBS reports, that the increase is larger than in the previous five months. In July grew mainly exports of transport equipment machinery and equipment. Besides, the exports of Dutch products and re-exports increased further. The volume of imports in July was 0.5% higher than a year earlier.

In July 2015 Dutch firms especially exported more transport. There were carried out, in particular, more vessels. Also the export of machinery and equipment grew significantly. All these goods were mainly of Dutch origin.

Conditions for export in September less favorable than in July

According to the Exports Radar of CBS, the conditions for export in September are less favorable than in July. While in August, the conditions for the export were better than in July. The six indicators of the Exports Radar show that conditions for Dutch exports have become more or less favorable. In September, five indicators have deteriorated. Especially the development of the real exchange rate on income was less favorable than a month earlier. On the contrary, the Dutch entrepreneurs are less negative about their overseas orders than a month earlier.
