Last month, the China State Key Laboratory opened a research department at DIMES, Delft University of Technology’s research Institute, for doing research at Solid State Lighting (LED). Through this partnering they will exchange knowledge and be able to attract more funds to continue their research. In 2011, Delft University of technology opened her first research center in China, followed by another 3 centers in November last year.
China State Key chose the Netherlands due to the advanced innovative-ecosystems and for Delft in particular because of the successful partnering in Beijing, by exchanging knowledge and expertise . It is the first time China State Key opens an office abroad.
China State Key Laboratory consists of two leading institutes of the China Academy of Sciences and LED research centers and is led by the China Solid State Lighting Alliance with support of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology.
