Nuffic launches new website for international students and alumni in Holland
On Saturday 23 February 2013 Nuffic launched the website www.careerinholland.nl at the event NL4Talents. This new website provides international students and alumni with reliable and up-to-date information about career opportunities in Holland after their studies.
International students and alumni can now visit the website to learn more about key economic sectors in Holland, Dutch business culture, how to find a job and how to apply for one, salaries, entrepreneurship and practical information about residence permits for their stay after graduation.
Through www.careerinholland.nl Nuffic aims to retain international talent to strengthen the Dutch knowledge economy and its international competitiveness. The portal is a joint initiative of Nuffic and NL Agency's division NL EVD International, and was developed by Nuffic.
Support for Dutch higher education institutions
The portal does not only support international students but also helps Dutch higher education institutions in providing career services to foreign students. The information about rules and regulations for highly skilled knowledge migrants and the ‘orientation year’ (zoekjaar) for example have a prominent place on the website.
Are you ready for a career in Holland?
Nuffic is sending promotion materials to Dutch higher education institutions to help spread the word about the new website. Also, to encourage international students and alumni to visit the website, we have designed the online test ‘are you ready for a career in Holland?’. It contains introductory questions about Dutch business culture and has a personalised outcome with advice on how to best start a career in Holland.
