How is the ‘personal approach’ Settle service online put into practice in regards to the candidates and the network of clients?

Settle Service Online is especially designed for individual international employees who are relocating to the Netherlands. An international relocation usually enhances a very stressful period. Using Settle Service Online means that many practical issues are taken care of. The Online aspect means that we will mainly be in contact through email. People who wish to have a more personal service are more than welcome to use our traditional services (www.settleservice.com/).

How do you view the current relocation market in The Netherlands, also considering the recession?

Now that the recession has almost come to its end, we see more and more demand for immigration and relocation services. Both HR managers and individual employees see the importance of a smooth transition and recognize the benefits of good assistance.

What is your background in Relocation?

I have been in the relocation since 2005 and have always been in a service industry since I started working. In 2005, around 75% of our clients were classical expats and around 25% of the clients came here on a local contract. Now, we service around 75% of our clients on a local contract. This means that the market has changed a lot!

What are your areas of expertise?

Immigration, relocation, departure services as well as tenancy and property management. The full range of services that can be thought of working with international clients!

What do you like the most about working in the relocation industry
?

What I like most is to keep our company and our service delivery up to speed with the developments in the market. Because of that we are able to provide our clients the best services.

How important do you consider social media to have become, for both companies and expats in a relocation process?

Very important; the social media make that there is much information available. Sometimes there is an overload of information, which makes it difficult to make decisions. That is Settle Service’s added value; to give the best advice on the right moment.

How do you see Settle Service online evolving over the next years, what are your goals and plans for the future?

Settle Service Online will become an important business line of Settle Service B.V. We see that more and more people come to the Netherlands without or with very limited backup of an employer. Since an international relocation is quite stressful for most people, and Settle Service Online offers good advices for a reasonable price, we expect that Settle Service Online will have a great future!

For an expat moving to the Netherlands, getting the right direction is very important. It's important that one knows which steps and direction to take. Linda is an exceptionally talent counselor, her advice has helped me land a job within a week of coming to the Netherlands. I am grateful for her mentoring and look forward to a great working relationship in the future.

Dr. Hrishiraj S | Clinical Research & Affairs Manager

Together Abroad provided expert advice on personal branding including developing a top-notch, market-aware CV, highly tailored job applications, and approach strategies with potential employers in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I found them be highly knowledgeable in key related fields such as recruitment strategy, immigration law, contracts, labor agreements, and (un)employment benefits. I would recommend Together Abroad to anyone who needs professional help with transitioning to a new career.

A. Aboufirass | Structural Engeer

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands

S. Bhattacharjee | FP&A Manager

If you are going to enlist the services of a "Career Coach" look no further. The only person you want in your corner is Linda van Orsouw. As an expat, you absolutely want to work with a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who knows their way around the Dutch career/employment/job market. Linda assisted me in writing and positioning my CV, helped me organize and prioritize my list of opportunities, coached me through mock interviews and was there when I got offered a senior position only 2 months later. When asked I will only refer to Linda and "Togetherabroad".
