Flexible working hours are the main benefit for Dutch employees, according to the research firm Intelligence Group. The 6800 respondents were divided into five categories: male, female, employed, student and unemployed. Those in the categories women and students found that flexible working hours were a key precondition of employment, while men were more interested in pension schemes, and the unemployed more interested in travel allowances.

"Men go for money, women for flexible working hours and reconciling work and private life," the researchers said. The over all results show a marked drop in the importance of travel allowances and pension scheme which both fell one place to second and third most important respectively. The importance of a good pension is largely age dependent, according to the report. For employees aged fifty and older, it is by far the most important condition (49 percent), while only one quarter of beginners attach importance to it.

The top nine most important conditions were: holidays, thirteenth month pay, opportunity to work from home, study and training budget, irregular hours and an emphasis on good workplaces and working conditions.

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
