In the first half of 2015, the number of temporary workers increased by 11% on an annual basis. Temporary employment agencies’ turnover grew by 12% compared to the same period last year.

The Federation of Private Employment Agencies (Algemene Bond Uitzendondernemingen, ABU) revealed these figures on Tuesday 08 July 2015. The sectors with the biggest growth in temporary workers from 2014 to 2015 are the technical sector (+23% in hours, +20% in turnover), followed by the administrative sector (+10% and 11%, respectively) and industry (+6% and 7%).

The rise in temporary workers comes along with more opportunities for those who are side-lined in the labour market, said ABU’s director Jurriën Koops to NU.nl. He yet sees a high degree of uncertainty within companies, which has translated into this trend.

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
