AMSTERDAM – According to a global survey of expatriate by the Intelligence Group 2/3 of Dutch expats wants to return in the Netherlands.
The reason that Dutch expatriates stay in other countries is mainly to gain experience.
This deviates significantly from for example French or Belgian expats, who have moved abroad because of the crisis and never want to come back to their own country.
Besides the Netherlands (62 percent), the Australian (84 percent), Brazil (74 percent) and Chinese (61 percent) expats want to ever settle in their homeland again.
Belgians, Israelis and Greeks on the contrary do not want to return (90 percent).
Expats in Belarus have no desire whatsoever to return to their own country. Only 95 percent of Belarusians likes to remain abroad.
