The Dutch staffing company Randstad reports first-quarter results of 2015, which highlights significant revenue growth as a result of the positive currency effect. In total, it booked revenues of 4,4 billion euros, which was 12% higher than last year.

According to Reuters, Europe’s second-largest staffing company reported that revenues and earnings were particularly high in Britain, Luxembourg and Belgium. “The gradual recovery in Europe is reflected in our results, while we have also closed the market gap in both the Netherlands and France," said Chief Executive Jacques van den Broek in a statement on Thursday 30 April 2015.

In the Netherlands, revenue per working day is 10% higher than in the previous year’s first quarter. “There is a clear evidence of growth”, said van den Broek about the labour market in the Netherlands, as quoted by NU.nl.
