Employment Market developments period 6 2014

In period 6 (week 21 – 24) the total amount of hours increased 8% and turnover grew 8% as well, in comparison with the same period last year. This period had a workable day less compared to the same period last year, so a correction was applied.

The administrative sector increased 5% in hours and turnover increased with 5%.
Hours in the industrial sector increased 10% and turnover showed a comparable development of 10% increase.
Ultimately, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector increased 8% compared to the same period last year, turnover increased 8% as well.


With rounding off period 6, the figures of the first half year of 2014 are complete. On average the total amount of hours increased 4% and total turnover showed an increase of 4%. The first half year of 2014 had one workable day more compared to the first half year of 2013, so a correction was applied.

The hours in the administrative sector came to an increase of 6% compared with the same period last year and turnover increased 6% as well.
The industrial sector grew 3% in hours and 3% in turnover in comparison with the same period last year.
An increase of 7% in hours was reached by the technical sector, turnover increased 6%.
