According to Reuters, the Dutch bank’s spokesman reported on Thursday July 2nd 2015 that call centre and IT operations will be moved to other locations, while the majority of the tasks will be moved to Leeuwarden.
Layoffs are not planned. However, “some” employees might be lost due to a reorganization announced last November.
The trade union CNV is outraged. “This is a disaster for the local employment. Part-time call centre workers are certainly not commuting to Leeuwarden to work there”, said CNV director Ike Wiersinga.
