Plus saw its consumer sales grow by just 9 percent to 2.2 billion euros last year. Excluding 53rd week, sales growth was 6.5 percent. Towards the end of 2015, Plus had 262 stores. That's seven more than a year earlier.
The result of this expansion in market share meant it saw its operating profits rise by 20 million euros to 187.3 million euros. Plus also saw other increases, including savings in logistics and better purchasing conditions. Conversely, they had cut spending for programs in the field of ICT, e-commerce, and the optimisation of the store base.
At the bottom line, the company held 10 million euros. A year earlier, their net profit was 5.7 million euros. The increase was partly due to the sale of the insurance Plus, which was raised 2.5 million euros.
The market share of Plus increased by 0.3 percentage points to 6.2 percent. In 2016, Plus intends to continuw 'building' on the same course.
