Who Wants to Work in the Netherlands?

The Netherlands is among the five most popular countries in Europe with people who are looking for a job across the border.

According to the study 'Europe in Movement' by Indeed, most job seekers who come to the Netherlands are the Belgians, followed by the Americans and the British, and then by the Germans and the French.

Unique Position

“The Netherlands has a unique position when it comes to attracting job seekers among others due to the fact that flexible working is allowed here,” says Sander Poos, Managing Director Benelux at Indeed. “Moreover, Amsterdam is globally known as a very attractive city, which accommodates a lot of international talent.”

Who Would Not Want to Work in the Netherlands?

34 percent of all job seekers are looking for a job abroad. 75 percent of them search for jobs in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium. Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands are the three countries with the highest concentration of incoming search traffic from the 15 EU countries. The number of registered foreign immigrants from EU countries was lowest in Romania (6 percent).
