
The Economic Bureau from the bank examined at which point the services at retail stores could be improved according to consumers. The store staff expertise is the main concern. A whopping 53% of respondents believe that staff at stores is insufficient with their expertise. In electronics and sports shops,it is at 41% and 38% respectively.
Also, at shoe stores (35%), residential stores (31%) and drug stores (20%), the level of knowledge of staff leaves much to be desired according to consumers.
Queues
Another point on which retail businesses can improve their services is the waiting time at the checkout. 57% of consumers expressed that the waiting time in supermarkets can be shorter and 38% said that the waiting is too long at drugstores.
“Customers want to be heard and get personal advice”,said the report. “Employees ensure the desired perception, both in-store and in business services. Knowledge, service and empathy in this age of technological developments in retail should make the difference”.
