AMSTERDAM – Nine out of ten Dutch businesses are not planning to hire new staff in the next three months.
This was shown by employment agency Manpower’s labour market barometer. Only a small number of businesses expects the number of employees to increase within their company. The managing director for marketing of the employment concern Haiko van der Pool stated, “After two years of slight positive to neutral employment expectations it is becoming clear that the Dutch labour market is looking at some precarious summer months”.
