C.H. Robinson Europe expands to Rotterdam with temperature controlled transportation office
Rotterdam was chosen for its strategic location thanks to its harbor that plays a key role in the import and export of goods on the continent

Brussels, (June 17, 2012) - Temperature controlled transport is one of the fastest growing business segments for the company on the European continent. The new office will offer expert services in this field and is meant to facilitate future expansion of temperature controlled logistics services across the continent.

Rotterdam was chosen for its strategic location thanks to its harbor that plays a key role in the import and export of goods on the continent. C.H. Robinson has 34 offices in Europe, some of which already have a strong presence in refrigerated transportation. However, the Rotterdam office is the company's first in Europe to specifically focus on the service.

"C.H. Robinson helps its customers increase their transportation visibility, traceability, and service all while cutting costs out of their supply chain. Our objective is to share these best practices here in Europe, while developing new services specific to our customers' needs," said Dusty Waldron, manager of C.H. Robinson's Rotterdam office.

During the first phase, the Rotterdam office will focus on agricultural full truckload movements, while assisting the C.H. Robinson Europe network in other related verticals within the temperature controlled environment.

C.H. Robinson Europe, one of the leading freight forwarders in Europe, announced today the opening of a new office in Rotterdam which will specifically focus on providing temperature controlled logistics services.
