In the third quarter of this year, all provinces in the Netherlands experienced an increase in the number of vacancies. Notable gainers are Zeeland, Drenthe and Flevoland. This also creates tension on the labour market: per job there are fewer people that apply.

The unemployment rate in the Netherlands was on average 5.6% in the third quarter, withGroningen at 7.1% and Zeeland at 3.5%. In Zeeland the number of vacancies in the last three years has increased the most, by 319%, which hasmore than quadrupled. Drenthe and Flevoland tripled the number of vacancies.

In Zeeland, the number of unemployed and job vacancies is similar. This makes the job market tight there. In contrast to South Holland, wherethere were five unemployed people per vacancy.

Number of jobs increases relatively most in North Holland

In absolute terms, the number of jobs from 2013 to 2015 increased most in North Holland, South Holland and North Brabant, but these are also the provinces with the largest population.

In relative terms, the number of jobs increased most in North Holland: 3.7%. In North Brabant growth was 2.4% and in South Holland, Groningen and Friesland 2.1%.

Amsterdam

The exception was the region Groot-Amsterdam, where the number of jobs of 46,000 between 2013 and 2015 increased to more than 900,000. That is about as much as in the whole province of Gelderland. Especially in the Municipality of Amsterdam, the increase was large.

Also in the towns Eindhoven and Tilburgin North Brabant, the number of jobs increased relatively sharply.

Furthermore, I found them be highly knowledgeable in key related fields such as recruitment strategy, immigration law, contracts, labor agreements, and (un)employment benefits. I would recommend Together Abroad to anyone who needs professional help with transitioning to a new career.

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
