The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) released its report on 12 February, Thursday.
CBS also highlighted that the government and employers have decreased the reimbursement to parents for their billable childcare costs over the years. In 2009, that figure was 76 percent and in 2013, it was 63 percent.
The report stated that parents brought their children to formal day-care for lesser hours. Also, there was a slight increase in the working hours of working mothers.
According to CBS, some parents have replaced expensive professional day-care with informal care for their children such as family or acquaintances.
