ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOLS IN THE NETHERLANDS

When you move to the Netherlands it is important to think about learning to speak the local language at a practical level at least. So, what language (s) are spoken in Holland? Well, the native language is Dutch; however English, German and French are commonly spoken and so if you speak one of these second languages you may be able to get by also, but you will not be able to rely on someone speaking these second languages in all situations. This is why you should consider attending a language school in the Netherlands to learn Dutch.

But, this is not the only reason you should consider learning Dutch at a Dutch language school in the Netherlands. There are three other good reasons to learn Dutch.

Firstly, because learning the Dutch language will make it easier for you and your partner and family to communicate and integrate with the local community. Learning a local language will also help to give you a better understanding of the Dutch culture and way of thinking.

Secondly, it will also make it easier for you to access local services such as banking, governmental insurances, legal, energy suppliers as many of the people that you speak to will only be able to speak Dutch and may not be fluent in your native tongue.

Thirdly; at work, even though you may be in an international work-force, a majority of the staff will be dutch speaking and many of the established managers will be Dutch speaking so speaking Dutch will give you a communication advantage and possibly career advantage over non Dutch Speakers

The good news is that if you want to learn Dutch there are a range of Dutch schools in the Netherlands in all the major cities including: Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Breda, Delft, Dordrecht, Eindhoven, Haarlem, Leiden, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and we have provided a list of English language schools in the Netherlands here were you can learn English or Dutch .
