Low economic growth in third quarter

The Dutch economy grew by 0.1 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2015.
This was reported by the Central Bureau of Statistics after checking its own findings with a second calculation last Friday.

The growth rate has not changed compared to the previous estimate. The picture of the economy remains the same. Exports, investment, and consumption are still expected to make a positive contribution.

Growth

It is the sixth consecutive quarter that the economy grows. In previous quarters, growth seemed to be growing slightly. However, over the last two quarters, the growth rate has fallen.

Despite low growth in the previous quarter, the economy is above the level it was at before the financial crisis materialised.
