As a result of globalization, and the fact that companies in the Netherlands are increasingly looking to expand into new global markets, there is a huge demand for foreign language speakers. And, fortunately for bilingual candidates, the supply of bi-lingual talent in the Netherlands is not keeping up with demand, which is why you will find a large number of bi-lingual job vacancies in the Netherlands.

This means that one of the best ways to increase your chances of employment in the Netherlands is to learn a second language which will make you a prime candidate for a bi-lingual jobs in the Netherlands. But, what languages should you learn? Well, ideally, you should focus on learning the most influential world languages which, according to latest thinking are thought to be: (after English), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Mandarin. Knowing two or more of these languages plus some Dutch will make you a prime candidate for bilingual vacancies in the Netherlands.
