“Oh my God, I got invited to my dream-job interview, but how can I prepare for it?” - this question is being asked by almost everyone and goes in the same package with the panic and stress. However, I hope you agree, the last two are not best and right ways to prepare for the interview. Therefore, let’s see how your interview preparation can be the most productive, so your interview becomes a successful step into the company of your dreams.

INTERVIEW TIP 1 – READY TO GET IN
Did you know that the opinion of an unknown person is being formed during the first 20 seconds of the conversation? In your interview you can have from 5 to 60 min and only one chance to show your interviewer that you are the best candidate. Therefore, the first thing you should do is to come to the interview fully equipped –don’t be late, no bruises under the eyes, well-dressed, with the smile on and, most importantly, with a high self-confidence from the first moment.
Remember, any detail can be a reason of wrong conclusions about you, so don’t let it happen!

INTERVIEW TIP 2- NO SCHOOL, ONLY BUSINESS
Think of an interview not as a scary school exam, but as a business meeting. While preparing for an interview, convince yourself that you are not a student anymore who is going to be graded by your teachers, but a professional that can give so much to the company. Try to control your emotions. For example, do not play with your pen or move your hair every two seconds. Also, watch out for your speech – do not talk too fast, but talk clear and with good vocabulary.
Overall, you should not be scared, but rational and relaxed!

INTERVIEW TIP 3- BE PREPARED
One of the important parts of the interview preparation is to make a research about the organization you want to work in. As you know more about the company’s history, its organization culture and structure – the more chances you have to impress your employer. Moreover, it will help you in your interview preparation to understand which qualities and knowledge which you should emphasise more.
Show your knowledge about the company!

INTERVIEW TIP 4- IMPRESS THEM
“Tell us about yourself”- one of the most common questions in the interview. Usually, at this stage your interviewers do not expect something outstanding. So, IMPRESS them. During your preparation for an interview think of something about yourself that makes you different from other candidates and therefore is able to make your employer interested.
Show your motivation and let the interviewer to remember you!

INTERVIEW TIP 5- BE READY FOR THE TRICKY QUESTIONS
Be ready for different types of questions. Sometimes, interviewers can ask not fully ethical questions or repeat the question he/she already has asked in order to see how you would react. Do not panic and answer the questions in the way it benefits you. Be honest, but not naive and try to give a precise answer possible without going too deep into your personal life details.
And do not forget to always be polite!

INTERVIEW TIP 6- ASK QUESTIONS
In every interview they usually ask you if you have any questions- use this opportunity. Ask your interviewer about your vacancy and about the company. Also, you can ask their opinion about the interview and what they think you could have done better. Show them that you are always ready to learn! Examples can be:
-What is the best way to get inside to the company’s organizational culture?
-Are there going to be other tests or interviews I have to face?
-When will I know the results of the interview?
-Can you tell me more about the vacancy I’m applying for?

Finally, before leaving do not forget to say thank you to your interviewers for their time.
