There is many ways which an employer can entice their employees. In modern day employment employers usually offer:
• Cash bonuses.
• Gift cards.
• Pay schemes.
• Pay rises.
• Promotion.
• Recognizing achievement.

When taking into consideration the types of rewards in regards to boosting employee morale, it would come down to internal and external factors to entice employees.

Bonuses/Pay rise – Most employees tend to appreciate bonuses or pay rise in regards to their performances. As an outcome it genuinely proves that employees continue with their hard work and dedication to show appreciation for their bonus and recognition.

Schemes – A good example of a scheme would be in regards to the automotive industry, employees that work for companies such Land Rover, Jaguar and etc. A benefit that automotive companies give to their employees is a scheme such as 40% when they purchase a brand new vehicle. This reward motivates employees to ensure that they can save that money and purchase that brand new vehicle.

Employees love to feel a sense of recognition, knowing that all their hard work is being acknowledged by higher management. This usually gives employees a sense of belonging and after receiving praises for their hard work and determination employees tend to continue with this outstanding performance. So in modern day work, managers and supervisors tend to acknowledge hard work by approaching and telling the employee about his/her hard work to show gratitude.

As quoted by George N. Root “Some people are not motivated by money to become a manager. The intrinsic motivation of added responsibility can be a strong inspiration for your more talented employees to become managers or team leaders.”

Giving employees training that can benefit them both in their job role and also assisting them to become specialist in a specific field. For Example if you send someone from IT you can enhance their IT capabilities with respects to raising morale and increasing production. This is seen as a reward by many employers in respects to providing employees with valuable training that could be beneficial for their CV and future prospective.
