Higher Auto Production Brings More Job Opportunities

Eindhoven industrial group VDL Groupsearnings in the first half of 2016 increased by almost one fifth and reached to about 1.6 billion Euros, while the number of employees continues to rise.
The automobile daughter company VDL NedCar, which was commissioned by BMW Minis, did significantly better business. The assembly division of VDL NedCar achieved in the first half revenues of 673 million Euros. That is almost half more than a year earlier. For the second half of the year, it is expected grow further.
The prospects for the rest of the year, according to the company, are also optimistic, with well-filled order books for all divisions. Excluding automotive assembly backlog represents a value of 780 million Euros, a year earlier that was to 645 million Euros.
Over 2016 VDL expects to achieve a turnover of over 3 billion Euros, and a net profit that is slightly higher than in 2015. The number of employees continues to rise to more than 12,000. Halfway through the year there were 11,827, whereas there were 10,623 employees last year.
