Finance Jobs in The Netherlands

The Dutch Ministry of finance has long been committed to creating a healthy finance sector in the Netherlands to ensure a good supply of finance jobs. And thanks to its favourable position in Europe, the Netherlands has always been regarded as a very attractive location for the major financial institutions. For example, the Netherlands has very modern finance legislation, it has a very stable business climate and the local population is very well educated, trained and internationally minded. It also has good status within the eurozone and has good relations with the other major financial centres in Europe such as London and Frankfurt. There is also the Holland Financial Centre which assists foreign firms to establish themselves in Europe.

This is why there is a strong finance sector and why there are plenty of finance jobs in the Netherlands. The Netherlands has a good selection of financial services companies who regularly advertise finance jobs. Some of the most well known financial services companies in the Netherlands are ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, Aegon, ING Group, KPNG, Rabobank, TMF Group, Triodos Bank, Ageas (formerly Fortis).

With such a broad range of financial services companies you can find a wide range of finance jobs in the Netherlands including accounting jobs such as: accounts payable /receivable, treasury analyst, general ledger accountant, management account, commercial accountant, audit accountant, financial planner, and cost accountant. Within the banking side of financial services there are jobs such as: banker, cashier, actuarial services for banking and finance, stockbroking, investment banking.

If you prefer to work within 'industry' there are plenty of large and small employers regularly advertising in-house finance jobs within their teams.

Linda is a big mind. She thinks about things that the rest normally overlook. The insight she has about the dutch job market can only be achieved through years of experience and persistence.

Her business savvy is complemented by her mastery of understanding the client's needs and requirements. For my career I could say, she was the “Mary Poppins”, who guided me through thick and thin and helped me to land a career in the Netherlands
