Local Assets Manager Job description
Responsibilities
- Ensure for the equipment, plants and units of responsibility:
- The coordination of the definitions of the programs of use / stand-by;
- The coordination of the preparation of reports highlighting needs for investments / disinvestments, arranging, in line with directives received, the proposals for alienation;
- The coordination of the collection and entry of information to update the database of the equipment and units;
- The coordination of the repairs in case of serious breakdown;
- The coordination / supervision of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance to guarantee the availability of the units;
- The definition of special maintenance schedules, the coordination of their execution and the control of the technical and economic aspects;
- The technical support to the vessel management for the implementation of the maintenance and the corrective actions to be implemented to solve the daily technical problems, within the assigned budgets;
- The technical support to the vessel management for the optimization of the spare parts;
- The availability of data / info necessary to prepare the technical proposal in support to the commercial activity of the Business Units;
- The required bureaucratic proceedings to obtain and renew the certifications of the naval units and specific equipment;
- Supervise and verify the preparation of the budgets of maintenance and investments carried out by the Assets Maintenance Engineers;
- Supervise the technical specialists in the definition of new-design facilities and equipment to ensure the preparation of the relevant standards;
- Supervise the preparation of estimations and specifications for the purchase of materials and supervise the works in compliance with practices and in collaboration with safety officers, marine authorities and bodies responsible for the issue of authorizations and special permits;
- Carry-out on board visits and audits for inspection and co-ordination with persons in charge of routine and special maintenance activities also supporting in the audits requested according with ISM and ISPS certifications; 6) Liaises with Certification Societies and International Bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database development and management
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills including use of PC software such as Excel to perform analyses
