Over half of the students (53.7%) hope to find a permanent job after graduation. Four out of ten (38.8%) prefer their career with a traineeship. Only 7.5% opt for entrepreneurship, and this is below the national average: of the current labor force, more than 12% are independent entrepreneurs.
Loyalty
However, the desired security of a permanent job does not translate into loyalty and dedication to the new employer. The vast majority (80.9%) expect to be employed by their first employer for no longer than three years. The largest group (38.4%) is calculated on a two to three yearly basis.
Startups are not particularly popular among starters in the labor market. Most students (52.5%) want to work in the corporate world, followed by SMEs (27.4%). Only one in five students choose the adventure at a start-up.
