Dutch Water Dreams are for real!
At Dutch Water Dreams (DWD) the wildest water sport dreams will come true. In this whitewater sports complex– the only one in Europe! – whitewater kayaking, rafting and indoor surfing are made accessible to a wide public in an environment in which the focus is on comfort and safety. The whitewater course is based on the designof the Olympic course in Beijing and offers international op athletes, among others, a unique training platform on which to prepare for the 2008 Olympic Games and other (inter)national competitions. Twenty-three countries, including England, France and Germany, have already indicated that they will be training on the DWD course in Zoetermeer. The Dutch Canoeing Association (NKB) has also established the national training centre at DWD. Surfers too can have fun in the DWD whitewater sports complex; in the Wavehouse three FlowRiders guarantee artificial waves.
Under professional guidance from instructors everyone – even beginners – can safely go on the whitewater course or FlowRider. The safety and comfort of our guests is our first priority. For this reason guests are fully kitted out with all the necessary safety equipment. For the whitewater course this personal equipment consists of wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, neoprene socks and footwear. To prevent the guests from injuring themselves, the whitewater course has bumpers, steps and rubber protective sections. Should anyone end up in the water, the lifeguards will rush
in to help them onto dry land again. The FlowRiders also provide for all the necessary safety measures. An instructor gives detailed instructions and is always on the look-out.
If necessary, just as on the whitewater course, the instructor can press the emergency button so that the water supply its switched off immediately.

Brave the whitewater course or pit yourself against the powerful water on the FlowRiders! Whether we’re talking about a staff or business relation day, product launch or meeting, DWD offers challenging sporting packages for business and private groups. In addition DWD also offers
various packages for top athletes and special professional groups. And for school classes, clubs and groups of children, everything is also possible at DWD!
(After sports) Enjoyment
As well as a lot of water, DWD also offers solid ground under foot. For example in our shop, where everyone can indulge themselves with brands such as O’Neill, Teva, Crocs, Tiger, Northface, Mystic, Philips, Kodak and where personalised movies recording the sporting performances of the participants themselves can be downloaded! In addition, DWD has plenty of places where you can hang out after your sporting performances and where you can relax and sit back and watch the sporting performances of others. All rooms are multifunctional and can be equipped and catered to suit your requirements. Pre- and postenjoyment is assured!
